Vasyl Kotys is a Ukrainian pianist, born on 27 September 1984 in Zolochiv, Lviv region. He studied at the Zolochiv Music School, piano class with Lyudmyla Hryhorovych.
From 1998 to 2009, he studied at the Lviv Special Music School named after S. Krushelnytska and at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv Music Academy in the class of Professor, People's Artist of Ukraine, Maria Krushelnytska.
Since 2009, he has been studying at the Higher School of Music and Theatre in Rostock (Germany) in the class of Professor Matthias Kirschneit.
He is a laureate of numerous All-Ukrainian and International piano competitions, including: H. Neuhaus (Kirovohrad, 2002), "Classik - Podillya 2004" (Khmelnytsky), F.
