Kornytskyi Yevhen Petrovych (7 October 1938, Tseniv - 23 October 2012, Ternopil) was a composer, choral conductor, People's Artist of Ukraine.
He was born on 7 October 1938 in the village of Tseniv, now in the Ternopil region. He graduated from the Rivne Institute of Culture.
Career.
He was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine. Since 1970, he has been conductor and choirmaster of the Ternopil Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after Taras Shevchenko. At the same time, he was the conductor and arranger of the variety and brass band "Orchestra of Freedom" at the Ternopil Theatre. In 1990, he became the director of the theatre. In 1992, he began working as the director of the Ternopil Regional School of Arts.

On 23 October 2012, the heart of the People's Artist of Ukraine Yevhen Kornytskyi stopped beating.
