Kononeko Andrii Mykytyovych (04. 12. 1899, Poltava - 02. 05. 1966, Kyiv) - singer (baritone), bandura player. Participant of the Second World War. He received combat awards. He graduated from Poltava. Poltava Real School (1919), studied at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Poltava. INSTITUTE OF FINE ARTS (1919-22). Worked as an art. Poltava Drama Theatre named after T. Shevchenko (1920-21), teacher of the evening school in Poltava (1921-24), art. Poltava Chapel of Bandura Players (1925-28); in Kharkiv Philharmonic: 1928-33 - artistic director of the Bandura Choir, 1933-34 - director; 1934-60 (with a break) - artistic director, at the same time 1934-41 - deputy director of the State Bandura Choir of the Ukrainian SSR, with which he toured Russia, Poland and Romania. 1960 - retired.
