Yarema Ivanovych Kolesa (born 6 April 1965, Lviv) is a Ukrainian conductor, teacher, professor (2010). Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2002).
Grandson of Mykola, great-grandson of Filaret Kolessa.
Biography.
Yarema Kolessa was born on 6 April 1965 in Lviv.
In 1988, he graduated from the Lviv Conservatory (now the National Music Academy, Mykola Kolessa's class), where he is currently a professor (since 2010) of the Opera Training Department.
Since 1990, he has been conducting the Symphony Orchestra of the Myroslav Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic. He has toured Ukraine and Poland. He has recorded on CDs, radio and television.
