Biography.
In his early childhood, he moved to the village of Mushni. He had no education, because there was no school in Mushni during the Polish occupation. He worked on a collective farm.

At first, he learned melodies from his father, also a violinist, later he surpassed him in his skills and began to play at weddings with senior local musicians: clarinetists "Pitom" (Petro) Yatsenko (born in 1910 in Budky village, Olevsk district, Zhytomyr region), Archyp, violinists Stanislav, "Mikhal" (Mykhailo), and Savva Pavlushenko. In the last years of his life, he constantly played with the son of Sava Pavlushenko, drummer "Mikhal" (Mykhailo) Pavlushenko, born in 1935 in the village of Mushni.

During his practice, he played violins made by folk masters Petro Yatsenko, Ivan Mykolaychuk, and a trophy violin from Germany. For recordings, he played a violin made by master Ivan Mykolaychuk in 1978.
