Kobyliansky Ivan Yosypovych

1940-1997

Ivan Kobyliansky (May 21, 1940, Bilobozhnytsia village, Chortkiv district, Ternopil region - March 24, 1997, Ternopil) was a Ukrainian conductor, composer, and cultural figure. Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine (1988).
He graduated from the Chortkiv Pedagogical College (1960, now the Humanitarian and Pedagogical College), Ternopil Pedagogical Institute (1982, now the National Pedagogical University).

He worked at secondary schools in Kremenets and Ternopil.

Since 1968, he has been the organizer and artistic director of the choir of the Ternopil Cotton Mill (since 1970 - the folk amateur choir of the "Textile", since 1998 - the folk choir "Textile" named after I. Kobylianskyi).

1977-1982 - director of the choir at the Ternopil Pedagogical Institute (now the National Pedagogical University) and other higher education institutions in Ternopil.

1974-1982 - director of the House of Amateur Creativity of the Regional Council of Trade Unions, 1982-1984 - artistic director of the "Oktyabr" (now "Berezil"), 1985-1991 - deputy head of the Ternopil Regional Department of the Music Society of Ukraine, since 1991 - executive secretary of the regional department of the All-Ukrainian Music Union, since 1992 - director of the "Textile".

Works.
He recorded and processed ceremonial and wedding songs, carols, shchedrivky and other choral works, composed music for songs and poems.
