Kikot Andriy Ivanovych

1929-1975

Ukrainian opera and concert singer (bass). People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1967).

Biography.

He was born on November 27, 1929 in the village of Kamianka (now Dykanka district, Poltava region).

He received his vocal education at the Kyiv Conservatory (1953-1959) in the class of I. Patorzhynskyi. In 1959-1975 he was a soloist at the Kyiv Opera and Ballet Theater. In 1967, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.

He died on October 13, 1975 in Kyiv. He was buried at the Baikove cemetery.

Laureate of the VI World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow (1957, gold medal), International Vocal Competition in Toulouse (1958, III prize).
