Kikis Ivan Vladimirovich

Ivan Volodymyrovych Kikys (born 12 January 1951, Svydova, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian teacher, musicologist, conductor, choirmaster, and regent.
Ivan Kikys was born on 12 January 1951 in the village of Svydova, Chortkiv district, Ternopil region, Ukraine.

He graduated from Chortkiv Pedagogical College (1971), Kamianets-Podilskyi Pedagogical Institute (1975), and the Conducting and Choral Faculty of the A. Nezhdanova Odesa State Conservatory (1984).

He has been working as a lecturer of conducting and director of mixed and men's choirs at the Chortkiv Pedagogical College (since 1975; now O. Barvinsky Humanitarian and Pedagogical College). Since 1992, he has been a part-time teacher of church singing at the Chortkiv Diaconal and Catechetical Academy. He is the director of the choir of the Cathedral Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Chortkiv.

Artistic director of the folk amateur choir "Halychyna" of the Chortkiv Central District Hospital (since 2000) and the men's choir of the Chortkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical College named after Oleksandr Barvinskyi.

Leontovych in the Context of the Revival of National Education and Culture". He made a report on the topic - "Works of M. Leontovych in the interpretation of O. Koshytsia".
