Khursenko Vyacheslav Volodymyrovych

1966-2009

Ukrainian singer, composer, and singer-songwriter. He is the author of the well-known songs "Sokolyata", "On the Island of Waiting", "Confession", "Night Reigns", "I fell out of love with you", "Faith, Hope, Love", "Crazy Time", "To my home", "Sip of Wine".

Biography.

Born in Dnipro, Ukraine. After some time, his mother brought him to her parents in Kovel, and later to Lutsk, where the future musician graduated from a music school and college. He received a medical degree as a paramedic and obstetrician.

Since the nineties of the last century, he has become known as a singer, composer (in particular, thanks to his participation in the Oberig festival), and a highly skilled cellist.

At the New Wave 2009 music competition for young talents in Jurmala, Ukrainian singer Vladyslav Levytskyi performed Khursenko's main hit, the song Sokolyata.

Khursenko's songs are featured in the films directed by Oksana Bayrak, "Women's Intuition" and "Two Kilometers to the New Year".
Family.

He was married to Olga Khursenko. He has a daughter, Maria Khursenko, and a granddaughter.
Death

Died after fainting (consequences of diabetes) while fishing near Lutsk. He was buried in the village of Pidhaitsi, Volyn region.
