Vadym Yuriiovych Khrapachov (born 24 September 1947, Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR - died 24 September 2017, Kyiv, Ukraine) was a Soviet and Ukrainian composer. Honoured Artist of Ukraine (2008). Member of the National Unions of Composers and Cinematographers of Ukraine.
He was born into a teacher's family. He graduated from the Faculty of History and Theory of Kyiv National University (class of N. O. Gerasymova-Persydska in 1972) and the Faculty of Composition of Odesa Conservatory (1983).
He is the author of music for more than 80 feature films, documentaries and animated films, including films directed by Roman Balayan, Viacheslav Kryshtofovych and Mykola Mashchenko.
He taught at the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute.
Death.
In the last years of his life, he had lung problems and almost did not work. He died on the day of his 70th birthday on 24 September 2017.
