Khorunzhy Vladimir Anatolyevich

Vladimir Anatolyevich Khorunzhy (born 19 September 1949, Kirovograd) is a Ukrainian jazz musician, composer and film producer. General producer of the inQ production studio. Son of the Ukrainian writer Anatoliy Khorunzhyi.

Biography
Volodymyr Khorunzhyi was born on 19 September 1949 in Kirovohrad, and two and a half years later his parents moved him to Kyiv. He studied at the Mykola Lysenko Music School and later at the Kyiv Conservatory. He performed at jazz festivals in Donetsk, Tallinn, and Moscow. From 1971 to 1977, he composed music for films, first for the animated film Merry Company. Since 1975, he has led the variety and symphony orchestra of the State Television and Radio Company of Ukraine. He was a producer and arranged songs for S. Rotaru, V. Ivasyuk, D. Tukhmanov, I. Shamo and many others.

In 1981, he emigrated to the United States. There he worked as a professional orchestrator with Jerry Goldsmith. He composed music for more than 40 Hollywood films and television series: "The Langoliers, Return of the Living Dead (part 2), Children of the Corn 666 (all by Stephen King), the TV series Santa Barbara, etc.

Since 1991 he has been producing films and TV series. 1991 - in Los Angeles, he produced the film comedy Nerves on the Verge (with Jim Carrey, Kirsten Dunst, Steve Oedekerk). As an American film producer, he has produced such films as Sacred Cargo, Hot City, Lord Protector, the TV series Mike, Lou and Og, and animated films.

2006 - returned to Ukraine, where he produced the films Orangelove (2007), 13 Months (2008), In Love with Kyiv (2011), Synevyr (2014).

In 2009, he founded the inQ film production studio.

Since 2018, he has been releasing digital music albums for The Orchard, the largest online music aggregator.

He continues to compose.
