Serhiy Khorovets was born in 1980 in Rivne region.
In 1996-1999, he studied at the Rivne Music College, studying accordion with Honoured Artist of Ukraine Hryhorii Hlotko.
From 1999 to 2004, he was a student of the Kyiv National Music Academy named after P. Tchaikovsky, studying the bayan with Professor, People's Artist of Ukraine Mykola Rizol.
From 2004 to 2008, at the same academy, he studied at the Department of Opera and Symphony Conducting in the class of Professor, People's Artist of Ukraine Alin Vlasenko.
In 2013, he began an artistic internship at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Professor Marek Pijarovsky.
In 2010-2011, he was the conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the M. Glinka Dnipro State Conservatory, and since 2011 he has also been the conductor of the Dnipro Regional Philharmonic.
Since 2011, he has been invited as the chief conductor of the Rivne Regional Philharmonic.
In 2013, he began an artistic internship at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Professor Marek Pijarovsky.
Since 2013, he has been the artistic director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Philharmonic.
Creative cooperation unites the young conductor with many talented soloists, including Lidiya Futorska, Myroslava Kotorovych, Elisabeth Hesse, and others, as well as with world-renowned artists such as Olga and Natalia Pasichnyk, Constants Andrzej Kulka, and others.
Since 2012, he has been performing as an accordionist in an extraordinary duet with a young talented violinist Lidiya Futorska.
In his work, he pays great attention to the music of the Baroque era, although the Romantic era remains his favourite.
