Ukrainian musician, vocalist and lyricist of the band Boombox.
Biography.
Born on December 31, 1979 in Cherkasy. He studied at a music school, majoring in accordion, and at a business college, majoring in graphic design. While studying to become a translator at Cherkasy Khmelnytsky University, he started playing in the band Mandarin Paradise. In 2001, the band won the Pearl of the Season festival and the musicians moved to Kyiv. In the capital, Andriy became interested in jazz and swing, and sang with the Acoustic Swing Band. Later, the members of three bands - Acoustic Swing Band, Dust Mix, and Tartak - formed the band Graphite, in which Andriy was the vocalist.
In 2004, Andriy and Tartak's guitarist Andriy "Mukha" Samoilo organized the funk groove band Boombox. In a few years, the band became very popular in Ukraine and Russia. In April 2005, they recorded their first album, Melomania. In 2006, the second album "Family Business" was released, which received gold status in Ukraine (more than 100 thousand copies of the CD have been sold so far).
Khlyvnyuk was the sound producer of the album of the singer Nadine, with whom the duo performed their own song "I don't know" in 2007, and then filmed a video. The duo received the Most Unexpected Project of the Year award by the E-motion portal.

In the summer of 2007, the song "Vakhteram" was broadcast on Russian radio stations, and in the fall, the song "ta4to" was included in the rotation of Moscow radio stations. Over time, Russian record labels became interested in Boombox, and a contract was signed with Monolith to release the albums Melomania and Family Business in Russia, which were released on June 10, 2008. In August 2009, Khlyvnyuk, along with Yevhen Koshov and Potap, dubbed the French action movie 13th District: The Ultimatum". Andriy voiced the French policeman Damien.
In December 2009, the band released a joint album with Kyiv DJ Tonique. On June 24, 2010, the band presented the album "All Inclusive" in Kyiv. At the end of 2011, the album "Middle Age" was released.
During the full-scale invasion
In February 2022, during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Khlyvnyuk joined the territorial defense of Kyiv and posted a video of himself singing a part of the Ukrainian folk song "Oh, there's a red viburnum in the meadow" with a gun, which went viral on social media. On March 26, the artist came under mortar fire and was wounded in the face. On April 2, he returned to the TRO.
Subsequently, South African musician The Kiffness recorded a remix of Khlyvnyuk's performance, and all proceeds from the track were donated to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On April 8, Pink Floyd released the single Hey, Hey, Rise Up! based on the same song, with Khlyvniuk singing the vocal part.
In 2023, he became the commander of his aerial reconnaissance group.

Personal life.
In July 2010, it was reported that Khlyvniuk married a graduate of the Institute of Journalism at Kyiv's Shevchenko University, Hanna Kopylova, who currently works as an art director at Osnovy Publishing House and a music video director. She is the daughter of Vadym Kopylov, who was then Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine. Andriy and Anna have a son, Ivan (born in 2010), and a daughter, Oleksandra (born in 2013).
