Biography
Yaroslav Mykolayovych Karpuk was born in the village of Stara Vyzhivka, Kovel district, Volyn region, in a family of civil servants. Love for music was nurtured by grandparents from childhood. The grandmother on the maternal line works as a teacher of theoretical disciplines at the Starovyzhiv Children's Music School, the grandfather teaches singing to students at the Starovyzhov Vocational Lyceum.
He graduated from the educational complex "ZOSH I-III grades - gymnasium" in the village of Stara Vyzhivka.
He is studying at the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts, majoring in "Vocalist".
In 2019, Yaroslav took part in the 5th season of the Ukrainian television show "Voices. Children" (Dzidzo team). In the show, he performed English and Ukrainian-language songs, entered the super-final and took 2nd place.
The clip with Yaroslav's speech received more than five million views as of December 23, 2021.
In 2021, he took part in the Black Sea Games, where he won the grand prize.
YAKTAK project
In February 2022, he launched his solo project YAKTAK in Kyiv and started a new page in his musical history.
YAKTAK is pop, rap, rock, jazz in one combination. He has no stylistic boundaries, but has his own clear vision. In his work, the performer emphasizes songs in the Ukrainian language, revealing his inner state and feelings to the listener through the lyrics of the songs.
Another feature of YAKTAK is the guitar, for each composition it dresses up in an image that resonates with the song.
In a short period of time, the performer managed to release 3 duet compositions, which as of today have exceeded 3 million. views
In particular, there were duet works with the following artists: Jerry Heil, MamaRika, SOBOL, DOVI, KOLA.
YAKTAK became famous in the spring of 2022, singing the famous song Bride, which went viral on social networks, gained more than 3.1 million views and became the song that brides choose for their first wedding dance.
