Anatolii Trokhymovych Kapustin (13 February 1939 - 23 February 2020, Odesa, Ukraine) was an opera singer, tenor, soloist of the Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1987). Professor of the A. Nezhdanova Odesa State Music Academy. Laureate of the International Music Festival in Marseille. In 2007, by a decree of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the Order of Merit III degree.
Biography
In 1969, as a third-year student at the Odesa Conservatory, he joined the Musical Comedy Theatre. Before joining the Odesa Opera Theatre, he also worked at the Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre. In 1971 he graduated from the Odesa Nezhdanova Conservatory. Since 1974, he has been an opera soloist at the Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
He has toured Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Great Britain, the USA, Italy, Japan, France, and China. Participant of the International Festival in Edinburgh, the International Festival of Sacred Music in Marseille, the International Festival of Opera "Golden Crown" (Odesa - 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002).
