Pianist Oleksiy Kanke studies at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in the class of Professor Natalia Hrydneva, who has trained many great Ukrainian pianists (Vadym Kholodenko, Oleh Poliansky, Oleksiy Hryniuk, Oleksandr Hryniuk, Mykhailo Danchenko, Oleksandr Polyakov and others). Oleksiy is a winner of many international competitions.
Among them are the Vladimir Krainev International Competition for Young Pianists (Kharkiv), Astana Piano Passion (Kazakhstan), and the International Competition for Young Pianists "Step to Mastery" (St. Petersburg). In October 2015, he won first prize at the Emil Hillels International Piano Competition (Odesa). In 2016, Oleksiy was also awarded 1st prize at the International Competition for Young Pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz.
In the 2015/2016 season, he performed with the Odesa Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine, and the Chernihiv Philharmonic Orchestra. Oleksiy Kanke has participated in music festivals in Poland and Germany, and toured Ukraine with success.
