Kaminsky Viktor Yevstakhiovych

1953

Ukrainian composer.

Biography.

1977 - graduated from the Lviv Conservatory (Volodymyr Flys), postgraduate studies at the Moscow Conservatory, composition class of Tikhon Khrennykov (1986). 1977-78 - Lecturer at the Rivne Institute of Culture, since 1978 - Senior Lecturer at the Department of Composition of the Lviv Conservatory, Associate Professor (1996), Professor (1999), since 2002 - Vice-Rector for Research at the Lysenko National Music Academy. He lives in Lviv.

Along with his creative work, Viktor Kaminsky is actively involved in cultural, organizational and pedagogical work, since 2020 he has been the Chairman of the Board of the Lviv Organization of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine, often heading various competitions. Among V. Kaminsky's students is composer and musicologist Ostap Manuliak.

He is the author of the first textbook in Ukraine - "Electronic and Computer Music".
