Ukrainian singer (baritone). People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1979).
Biography.
In Kharkiv, he entered an aviation college. He worked as a technician for installing radio equipment in airplanes, and at the suggestion of a colleague, he went to an audition at the conservatory.
While in Donetsk on a visit, he visited the opera house, and after listening to the student's voice, the conductor immediately offered him a part in the performance and invited him to tour the USSR - there had never been such a case in the theater.
He performed 32 parts.
Soloist of the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theater.
In 1967, he graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Arts named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky, and then continued to work as a soloist at the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theater.

For 17 years he taught at the vocal department, among his students were Dmytro Koleushko, Maria Solovyova (soloists of the Mariinsky Theater), and Mikhail Ignatov (Sevastopol). The students were on duty at the hospital ward where their teacher spent the last moments of his life.
