Ukrainian actor and singer (baritone, bass). He is known for his performances at the Russian Conversation Theater (1910) and the Mykola Sadovsky Theater (1911-1919).
Biography.
He began his artistic career in the troupes of D. Haidamaka and M. Yaroshenko.
At the invitation of Y. Stadnyk, who came to Kyiv in search of actors from the Dnipro region for the Ruska Besida theater, in 1910 Trokhym Ivlev moved to Lviv. An American lawyer of Ukrainian descent, Zenon Nyzhankivsky, who studied at the Franz Josef I gymnasium in Drohobych in 1910 and attended performances of the Ruska Theater, recalled: "For a short time, a brilliant meteor appeared on the theatrical horizon - Trofim Ivliw (bass-baritone). His creation of Mephisto in the opera "Favst" simply electrified the audience with dramatic expression and vocal skill."
But already in 1911 he made his debut in Kyiv at the Mykola Sadovsky Theater in the role of Stolnyk (Pebbles by S. Moniuszko). The performance was so successful that everyone congratulated M. Sadovsky on the valuable addition to the troupe.
Vasyl Vasylko recalled the following about Trokhym Ivliev's work with Sadovsky: "The singer is a bass of a very wide range, great strength and pleasant timbre... He also sang baritone parts... His best role was Khalyava ("Viy"), a deeply artistic type of Gogol's "theologian," and the Head in M. Lysenko's "Drowned". Sometimes he also played dramatic roles, for example, the Cossack-bandura player in B. Hrinchenko's play "Among the Storm", Clouds in Y. Slovak's "Mazepa".
In January 1919, M. Sadovskyi decided to leave Kyiv and go to Vinnytsia, where the UPR Directorate was temporarily located. Trokhym Ivliev, among other actors, went with him.
In 1920-1923, he performed at the Vinnytsia Music and Drama Theater, and later at the Kharkiv Mobile Theater.
In 1923-1933, he was an actor at the Artemivsk Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater in Donetsk Oblast.
Personal life.
His wife Tetiana Ivleva is a Ukrainian actress who worked as a chorus girl at the Mykola Sadovskyi Theater and later switched to travesty roles: Matyusha (Vanity by I.
