After graduating from the Faculty of Composition in the class of Professor A. The composer's oeuvre includes numerous works of various genres and forms, from operas, symphonies and concertos (for violin, cello, clarinet, oboe and piano) to chamber works (including 12 quartets, quintets, trios, sonatas for various instruments accompanied by piano, and cycles for piano) and choirs. As a composer, Ishchenko continues to fruitfully develop the traditions of the schools of two prominent Ukrainian composers, Borys Liatoshynsky and Andriy Shtoharenko.
