Ukrainian bandura player, People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1979).
Biography.
He was born on June 9, 1937 in Dnipropetrovs'k. He graduated from the Dnipro Music College and in 1963 from the Kyiv Conservatory (class of A. Bobyr and M. Kanerstein). Since 1963, he has been a member of the bandura band. Since 1978, he has been the artistic director of the National Bandura Bandura Chapel of Ukraine.
He is the author of music collections for bandura.
Mykola Hvozd's grave
Mykola Hvozd died on June 27, 2010. He was buried in Kyiv at the Baikove Cemetery (plot No. 33).

Winner of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine.
Holder of the Order of Merit III degree and the Order of Yaroslav the Wise III degree.
