Gurfinkel Arkady Konstantinovich

Arkady Konstantinovich Gurfinkel (about 1898, Kamianets-Podilskyi - ?) is a violinist.

Biographical information
Arkadii Hurfinkel graduated from the Kamianets-Podilskyi Music School, opened in 1903 by Tadei Hanytskyi.

Arkadii's father, Kostiantyn Hurfinkel, also studied at this school, majoring in viola, after which he worked in Kamianets-Podilskyi as a choral conductor in clubs and military units, led a string orchestra, and for some time worked at the music school as a violinist.

Arkady's sister Dina Gurfinkel also graduated from the Ganitsky School, majoring in piano. She went on to study at the Moscow Music College, where she studied piano with Elena Fabiianovna Gnesina and cello with Professor Semyon Matveyevich Kozolupov. She died in 1914 during the First World War.

Arkady Gurfinkel graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire. After that, until his retirement, he worked in the symphony orchestra of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He was the concertmaster of the first violin group.
