Gunko Evgeny Ivanovich

Gunko Yevhen Ivanovich (February 6, 1940, village of Zavalya, Snyatinsky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region - July 5, 2019, Ternopil) - Ukrainian conductor, choirmaster. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1981). Associate Professor (1991). Founder and artistic director of the male vocal quartet "Acord" (1998-2019).

Biography
He graduated from the Ternopil School of Music (1962), the conducting and choral faculty of the Lviv Conservatory (1968, now the Academy of Music).

He taught at the Terebovlyansky and Chernivtsi cultural and educational schools (1962—1968).

Conductor and choirmaster of the Chernivtsi Music and Drama Theater (1968—1971), head of the musical section, chief conductor and choirmaster of the Khmelnytsky Music and Drama Theater (1971—1983).

Since 1983 - senior teacher, head of the department of vocal and choral disciplines of the Ternopil Pedagogical Institute (now TNPU).
