Gubyak Dmytro Vasyliovych

1982

Ukrainian bandurist-vocalist, composer. Son of Vasyl Gubyak. Member of the National Union of Kobzars of Ukraine (2003), Honored Artist of Ukraine (2009). A connoisseur of the Kharkiv way of playing the bandura.

Biography

He graduated from the Terebovlyan Music School (Yaroslava Volodymyrivna Kubit's class), the children's studio "Kobzaryk" at the Strusiv Honored Bandurists' Chapel "Kobzar" (1990). As part of the band, he attended the festival "Banduro Bells in the Cossack Territory" (Dnipropetrovsk, 1994).

In 1995, he received the Grand Prix of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Young Bandura Artists named after V. Zucchini in Poltava. As a gift, I received a name bandura. In 1996, the first prize of the same competition.

In 1997, he entered the Ternopil Music School named after S. Krushelnytska. He studied bandura with Iryna Turko, and vocal class with Ivan Ravlyuk. In the same year, he became a graduate of the "Little Prince" International Festival, which was held in Bucharest, Romania.

In 1998, he became a graduate of the International Competition of Young Composers named after M. Bagdanovich in Grodno, Belarus. In the same year, he became a scholarship laureate of the All-Ukrainian competition "New Names of Ukraine", Kyiv.

In 1998, after finishing the first year of the Ternopil Music School, he entered the Lviv State Music Academy named after M. V. Lysenko in the class of the outstanding teacher and bandur designer Professor Vasyl Gerasimenko. He studied vocal class with the outstanding singer, People's Artist of Ukraine Tamara Didyk.

In 2003, he became a laureate of the 1st prize of the National Bandurist Competition named after G. Kitastogo, which took place in Kyiv.

In 2004, he became a laureate of the 2nd prize of the 3rd International Competition of performers on Ukrainian folk instruments named after G. Hotkevicha, Kharkiv.

He repeatedly participated in the International Music Festival "Young Artists" - Bayreuth, Germany.

In 2005, he became a laureate of the International Television Festival of Folk Music "HORYTSVIT".

In the spring of 2006, at the competition named after Zinovia Shtokalka made her debut as a jury member in Ternopil.

Performs solo concerts in Ukraine and abroad (Poland, Germany, France, USA).

From 2004 to 2006, he worked as a soloist of the Lviv Regional Philharmonic named after Art. Lyudkevich as part of the "High Castle" ensemble (artistic director Andriy Yatskiv).

Since 2003, he has been a valid member of the National Union of Kobzars of Ukraine.

In November 2006, he graduated from the performing post-graduate course at the Lviv State Academy of Music named after M. V. Lysenko under the guidance of Professor V. Gerasimenko.

In 2007, he became a laureate of the II prize of the IV international competition of performers on Ukrainian folk instruments named after Hnat Hotkevich (Kharkov). (And the prize was not awarded). In the same year, he became one of the winners of the competition of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine to receive the Grant of the President of Ukraine for young artists.

In the fall of 2007, he was invited to the All-Ukrainian children's competition of boys-bandursts "Kobzarska yun", which was held in Chernihiv as a member of the jury.

Since September 2007, he has been working at the Kremenets Regional Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute named after T. G. Shevchenko as a senior teacher of the department of musical disciplines.

From November 29 to December 6, 2008, he was invited as a member of the jury to the VIII international art competition "Silver Bell", which was held in the city of Uzhhorod. The initiator of this competition is the outstanding modern Ukrainian composer Yevhen Stankovych.

2009 — author of the project of the First Regional Festival-Competition of Kobzar Art named after Kostya Misevich's "Kobzar Fire", which took place on May 15-17 at the Taras Shevchenko Taras Shevchenko Regional Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute with the support of the Ternopil Regional State Administration. The competition included participants from 5 oblasts: Ternopil, Rivne, Volyn, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk. The head of the jury is People's Artist of Ukraine, professor L. K. Posikira, members of the jury: O. S. Smolyak, M. P. Stochanska, N. E. Turko, D. V. Gubyak.

Scientific work is combined with concert activities. He performs works on Kharkiv and Lviv banduras (designed by V. Gerasimenko). The repertoire includes classical works by composers of the 18th and 20th centuries. translated for bandura, arrangements of folk songs and dances, own songs and instrumental works.

On December 11, 2009, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine by decree of the President of Ukraine.

Since November 2009, he has been working part-time at the Ternopil Academic Music and Drama Theater named after T. G. Shevchenko as an actor.

Since September 1, 2010, he has been a bandura teacher at the Institute of Arts of the Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatyuk.

Participates in many scientific and practical conferences as a speaker and performer.
