Ukrainian singer (baritone); Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1986); People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1990).
Biography.
He was born on July 20, 1955 in Lviv, the son of singer Vladyslav Hrytsiuk. As a child, he spent a lot of time in the theater. Then he entered a ten-year music school for especially gifted children, where he studied piano. As a boy, he took part in government concerts, often performing with opera soloists.
In 1979 he graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (class of T. N. Mykhailova). In 1979-1988, he was a soloist at the Kyiv Opera and Ballet Theater, and since 1988 - at the House of Organ and Chamber Music of the Ukrainian SSR. He has been a member of the CPSU since 1985.
Hrytsiuk's grave
Hrytsiuk lived in Kyiv. He died on January 22, 2000. Buried in Kyiv at the Baikove cemetery.
