Ukrainian composer, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine (1996), the Art Prize "Kyiv" named after Artem Vedel (2019) and the First All-Ukrainian Film Festival (1991). Honored Artist of Ukraine (2008), Honorary Citizen of Volochysk (2020). Member of the National Union of Composers and the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine.
Biography.
He was born in the family of a military serviceman in Chirchik (Uzbekistan). He spent his childhood and youth in the city of Volochysk, Khmelnytskyi region. He graduated from the Khmelnytsky Music College, piano class of E. Leviatova (1974), and the Kyiv Conservatory, composition class of Heorhiy Maiboroda and Hennadiy Lyashenko (1982).
The composer's works include Symphonic Poem, ballet "The Legend of the Mermaid", ballet and symphonic suites, chamber and instrumental works, romances, songs, music for theater performances, feature films, television and documentaries, among others: "Sin", "The Witch", "Fuzhou", "The Trap", "A Crime with Many Unknowns", "The Last Bunker", "Love Island", "The Friend of the Dead", "Unconquered", "The Iron Hundred", "Brotherhood", "Bishop Andriy", "The One Who Walked Through the Fire", "Premonition", "We Are.
