Yevhen Volodymyrovych Hromov (born 2 January 1973) is a Ukrainian pianist, winner of the L. Revutsky (1998) and StArt (2003) prizes.
From his biography
Born in the village of Vovkovyntsi in the Khmelnytskyi region in the family of a musician. He began studying music at the age of seven under the guidance of O. Skliarova. From 1987 to 1991, he studied at the Lysenko KSCMs, from 1991-96 - at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy.
The pianist's repertoire is dominated by contemporary Ukrainian and foreign music. Yevhen Hromov's performing activity is combined with educational one: in 2002-2004, together with the composer S. Pilyutikov, he gave a course of lectures "Music of the Twentieth Century" (Union of Composers of Ukraine). On 7 December 2005, at the P. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy, he held a performance and analytical masterclass on "Controlled aleatoric and principles of its performance implementation on the example of the Third Piano Sonata by Pierre Boulez (France)". On 27 February - 3 March 2006, he held a series of creative workshops "Kyiv Avant-Garde of the 1960s" (Borys Liatoshynskyi School) at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy.
Yevhen Hromov has performed more than 70 world and Ukrainian premieres. He has collaborated with many Ukrainian composers. He has recorded piano works by R. Wagner, A. Schoenberg, A. Berg, A. Webern, L. Revutsky, L. Grabovsky, V. Godziatsky, V. Silvestrov, V. Guba, E. Stankovych, P. Solovkin, V. Zagortsev, S. Krutikov, O. Kneifel, P. Boulez (TNC Recording, USA).
Since 1993, he has performed at the Kyiv Music Fest, Musical Primer of the Season "Forum of Young Music" and others. He has given concerts in Russia, Poland, Belarus, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and France.
