Hryhorii Ivanovych Hrebinichenko (born 26 January 1942, Huta village, Obukhiv district, Kyiv region) is a Ukrainian singer (tenor), Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine.
Biography
Hryhorii Hrebinichenko was born on 26 January 1942 in the village of Huta, Bohuslav district, Kyiv region.
His father, Ivan Ivanovych Hrebinichenko, was killed in the Second World War in the fighting in Romania when Hryhorii was two years old. Hryhorii was a soloist in the school choir. He completed his high school education at a boarding school in the village of Chornoholova in Zakarpattia (1959).
After school, he completed a crane operator's course and worked at construction sites in Kyiv. From September 1961 until his retirement in 2002, he worked in the mechanisation department of the Kyivinvest lease and joint-stock company of Kyivmiskbud.
For his conscientious work, he was repeatedly awarded medals, badges of honour, diplomas of Kyivmiskbud, district and city councils, and the diploma "Best Crane Operator".
As of 2021, he is a labour veteran and a youth mentor.
Family.
He is married to Kateryna Mykhailivna, they have two sons, Oleksandr and Serhii, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Creative activity
Hryhorii Hrebinchenko sang under the guidance of People's Artist of Ukraine Vira Liubymova, Honoured Artists H. Kulyaba, V. Lysenko, Honoured Artists of Ukraine S. Kropyva, O. Chuliuk-Zahrai, Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine Petro Andriychuk. He also improved his vocal skills in the studio of the Palace of Culture of the Kyivinvest company, under the direction of Valentina Rozhdestvenskaya. He collaborates with the creative teams of the Pechersk Centre for Technical and Artistic Creativity in Kyiv. Kyiv.
He has performed in the best halls of Kyiv and other cities and villages of Ukraine, in the Baltic States, Moldova, Russia, Japan, France, Italy, Malta, Turkey, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece (in the Acropolis). Many times the singer has given concerts to the liquidators of the Chornobyl accident.
He also performs in his native village of Huta, the villages of Medvyn, Bila Tserkva district, where he went to school, and Lypivka, Bucha district, Kyiv region, where he currently lives.
