Ukrainian composer, singer (baritone), director. He is the author and performer of many popular songs, including "Cherry is Growing in Mama's Garden", "Come Home More Often", "Roses on the Platform", "Hello, My Dear", "Wait for Summer", "Waltz", "Red Rose", "Ukraine, Not Mine" and others.
Biography.
Anatoliy Horchynskyi was born on July 22, 1924 in Fastiv, Kyiv region.
He graduated from a music school in Kyiv, and in 1956 he graduated from the directing department of the Kyiv Theater Institute, where he studied with the famous Marian Krushelnytsky.
He worked as a director at the Kyiv Operetta Theater, in theaters in Lviv (1957-1968, in particular, he was the stage director of the National Theater named after Maria Zankovetska (1956-65), the chief director of the Theater for Young Audience (now the First Ukrainian Theater for Children and Youth, 1965-68), Khmelnytsky (1968-1973), Rivne (1973-1974), and Ternopil (1975-1992).
He directed 43 performances at the Taras Shevchenko Ternopil Drama Theater, all with his own music.
Anatoliy Horchynsky's creative work includes more than 350 original songs. Among them are "Mother's Cherry Tree Grows in the Garden", "Poet's Mistress", "Come Home More Often", "Hello, Stranger", "I'm Not the Third, I'm Not the Extra", "Red Rose", "Roses on the Platform", which are recognized as hits of the XX century. He directed 108 performances.
In 1994, Anatoliy Horchynsky was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.

On January 6, 2007, Anatoliy Arkadiyovych passed away. He will forever be remembered as a famous composer, director, singer, and People's Artist of Ukraine.
Anatoliy Horchynskyi was buried on January 8 at the city cemetery near the village of Pidhorodne.
