Golubnichy Sergey Vladimirovich

1979

He graduated with honours from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine with a master's degree in 2003 in the class of bayan, and in 2007 in the class of opera and symphony conducting (headed by People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor Allin Vlasenko). In 2010, he completed an internship at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.

During his studies, he gained conducting experience as artistic director and chief conductor of the Kyiv Youth Orchestra and Choir (2005-2007); conductor of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Choir (since 2005); chief conductor of the Kherson Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra (2007-2008); conductor of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Dnipro Philharmonic (2008-2010).

In 2010, he won first prize at the Second S. Turchak International Conducting Competition (Kyiv).

Since 2011, he has been the chief conductor of the Opera Studio of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy.

On the stage of the Opera Studio, he became the conductor-director of performances:

"Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini,
"Faust by Gounod (both in 2008),
"The Clever Girl by K. Orff (2009),
"La Traviata by G. Verdi (2011), etc.
Since 2010, he has been a conductor of the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre, where he has conducted performances of P. Abraham's Ball in Savoy (2013) and Carmen Suite to music by J. Bizet (2014).

He is also a guest conductor:

Batumi Opera Theatre (Georgia, since 2013),
Symphony Orchestra of the Dnipro Philharmonic (since 2008),
National Orchestra of the Odesa Philharmonic (since 2011).
Since 2012, he has been conductor of the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre for Children and Youth, from September 2013 to July 2017 - chief conductor of the theatre, and since September 2017 - conductor of the theatre.

On the stage of the theatre, he became a conductor-director of the following operas: The Clever Girl by K. Orff (2013), La bohème by G. Puccini (2017), King Drozdoborod by Y. Shevchenko (2018, the performance won the Kyiv Pectoral Award in the nomination "Best Children's Performance of the Year"), Viva la mamma (Long Live Mum! or Theatre Order and Disorder" by G. Donizetti (2019), "Don Giovanni" (2020) and "Cosi fan tutte" (As All Women Do, 2021) by W. A. Mozart; ballets - "Swan Lake. A Modern Version" by Tchaikovsky staged by R. Poklitaru (2013, the performance won the Kyiv Pectoral Award in the nomination "Best Musical Performance of the Year"), "The Four Seasons" (2013), "Rosa's Vision" (2014) and "Aladdin" by O. Rodin. Rodin (2021), the musical "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by J. Kolodub and L. Kolodub (2015), concert programmes "Choral Arabesques-2" (2014), "Requiem" by G. Fauré (2014), "About Ballet with a Smile" (2014), "Joy to the World! (2016), the symphonic cycle "Baraholka" by O. Rodin (2016), the musical-dramatic performance "The Whole World is Shakespeare" (2014), and the educational programme "Choral Alphabet for Children and Their Parents" (2015).

He has toured the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Poland, Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.

In September 2008, together with the Russian Ballet, he staged Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet (Orlando, USA) with the participation of Ukrainian ballet stars O. Filipyeva and S. Sydorsky.

In October 2014, he conducted a performance of La Traviata on the theatre's tour to Switzerland and France.

In January-February 2015, he took part in the staging of Rachmaninoff's operas Alec and Francesca da Rimini at the Théâtre National de Lorraine (Nancy, France).
