Pavlo Vasylovych Holubev (b. 16 (28) June 1883, Bakhmut - 3 March 1966, Kharkiv) was a Ukrainian singer (baritone) and teacher. Honoured Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1953).
Biography.
In 1906, he graduated from the Kharkiv Music School of the Russian Musical Society, class of F. Bugamelli. In 1908-1926 he taught at this school.
From 1926 he was a lecturer, from 1939 he was a professor at the Kharkiv Music and Drama Institute (from 1924 - Conservatory).
One of the theorists of singing art. Among his students were People's Artists of the USSR Borys Hmyria, Mykola Manoilo, and Nonna Surzhyna.
