Glukh Svitlana Petrivna

Svitlana Petrivna Hlukh (Chernoshei-Hlukh) (born 11 August 1945, Chernihiv) is a Ukrainian pianist and teacher. People's Artist of Ukraine (1997).

Biography.
She studied at the Reinhold Glier School in Kyiv (teacher - M. Kuzmin).

1970 - graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (class of O. Kholodna).

1970-1995 - concertmaster and soloist of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (Kyiv).

At the same time, since 1980, she has been teaching at the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (since 1999 - Professor).

Head of the New Names of Ukraine programme of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

He performs in a piano duet with Nelida Afanasieva, whose repertoire includes works by foreign and contemporary composers, including Mozart, Brahms, Chopin, Silvansky, Dychko, and Kireiko. The duo was featured in the film Moods (directed by Yuriy Suyarko).

She has toured the USA, the Netherlands, Germany and other countries.

She has stock recordings and gramophone records.
