Gina Georgii Mykolaiovych

1932

Composer, conductor, folklorist, teacher, cultural and public figure, People's Artist of Ukraine, professor.

Biography.

He began his career in 1947 as a violinist and accordionist at the Chernivchanka catering establishment in Chernivtsi. Chernivtsi.

He graduated from the Chernivtsi Music College and the Tchaikovsky Kyiv State Conservatory (1956).

Since 1956, he has been a violin teacher and director of the Chernivtsi Children's Music School No. 1, as well as a teacher at the Chernivtsi Music College, artistic director and conductor of the chamber orchestra of the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic (since 1975).

For 24 years he worked as a teacher at the Chernivtsi Music College and for 46 years as the director of the Chernivtsi Children's Music School No. 1. Over 48 years, his violin class has graduated more than a hundred violinists who have become artists of symphony orchestras, teachers of music schools, and such as Taras Pechenyi, Bella Zhylinska, Tsvytana Dron, Tetiana Duda, Svitlana Pampukha have won international and national competitions.

In 1968, Heorhiy (Yuriy) Hina, together with the soloist Sofia Rotaru, took part in the IX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sofia (Bulgaria), where under his leadership the folklore group received a high rating, and the soloist - the highest award "Golden Orpheus".

For 30 years, Gina was the artistic director and chief conductor of the chamber orchestra he created at the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic, which in 1978 won first place and the title of laureate at the first Republican Chamber Orchestra Competition (Kyiv).

From 1972 to 2004, Yurii Hina and the Chamber Orchestra of the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic performed three times at creative reports in Kyiv.

Since 1992, Yuriy Hina has been working at the Department of Music of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, since 1995 he has been an associate professor, and in 2003 he was promoted to professor.

His pedagogical, creative, and social activities have been repeatedly recognized by diplomas from the Ministry of Culture, the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Cultural Workers of Ukraine, and the Regional Council.

In November 2000, for his fruitful work in enriching Ukrainian national culture, Yurii Hina was awarded the S. Vorobkevych Regional Literary and Art Prize, Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR since 1980, and in 2002 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.

He has 9 scientific and educational works that are used in pedagogical practice, 50 reviews, reviews, and interviews in the press about his creative activity.

As a composer, Yurii Hina has written about a hundred musical works, including instrumental pieces, songs, pieces for duets, ensembles, trios, cymbals, arrangements and translations for violin ensemble, chamber orchestra, choir and soloists.

His compositions were published in collections and magazines, and released on recordings. In 1990, the Melodiya company released the gramophone record "Bukovynian Souvenir", which features works by Yuriy Hina performed by a chamber orchestra.
