Oleksandr Havryliuk (b. 1984, Kharkiv) is a Ukrainian and Australian pianist.
Biography.
Born into a family of musicians. He studied piano at the Kharkiv State Music School in the class of Viktor Makarov. At the age of 13, Oleksandr moved to Sydney (Australia) with V. Makarov and his other students, where he continued his studies. In 2000, he became an Australian citizen.
In 2004, he accused his teacher of sexual harassment, as a result of which V. Makarov was sentenced to 16 years in prison.Later, the charges brought by V. Gavrilyuk were dropped.
Since 2006, Oleksandr has been living in Europe with his family, occasionally touring Australia and East Asia.
In June 2008, Oleksandr married Zorytsia Markovych, an art manager from Australia. They have two daughters: Anna-Emilia and Olivia-Sophia. In 2013, A.
