Frolov Sergey Vladimirovich

Frolov Serhii Volodymyrovych (born 1 July 1959, Ihorivka village, Sumy region) is a Ukrainian composer and musicologist.
He was born on 1 July 1959 in the village of Ihorivka, Buryn district, Sumy region. He graduated from the Sumy Music College [Archived 6 February 2018 at the Wayback Machine], advanced training courses at the Ministry of Culture of the Ukrainian SSR, the Faculty of Music and Pedagogy of the A. S. Makarenko Sumy Pedagogical Institute, studied at the theoretical postgraduate course of the BGIKiI [Archived 25 January 2018 at the Wayback Machine] (supervisor - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the A. I. Herzen State Pedagogical University). A. I. Herzen A. S. Kliuyev).

He began his career at the age of 15 in cultural institutions.

1989 - concertmaster, artist of the orchestra of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Komi ASSR "Aña Kõa"
1993 - concertmaster of the song and dance ensemble "Vizerunok" (Kharkiv)
1994-2004 - concertmaster, artist of the professional song and dance ensemble "Zavalynka" (Staryi Oskol, Belgorod region)
2009-2010 - lecturer, concertmaster at the Belgorod Institute of Culture and Arts
2006 - member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine [Archived 17 May 2014 at the Wayback Machine], member of the public organisation International Union of Composers of the XXI Century, (Moscow).
Since 1982, he has written about 230 works of various genres - songs, instrumental pieces for accordion, orchestra of folk instruments. He currently lives in the Belgorod region.

1994 - "Intermezzo" - a competition piece of the international composing competition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the N. Osipov Orchestra for the Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra (Moscow).
1998 - the song cycle "Christmas Tale" based on poems by poets of the Silver Age
1999 - song cycle "The Traveller" based on poems by R. Gorevich
2001 - song cycle "Birds of Russia" based on poems by V. Shchygolev
2002 - Concerto for accordion and orchestra
2004 - cantata "Yaroslavna's Lament in Putivl"
He is the author of a number of publications on accordion performance, a participant in international conferences. In 2012, he published a textbook "Formation of Accompaniment Skills of an Accompanist" (Mriya-I) in Sumy, edited by Professor of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, Doctor of Arts N. Davidov.

2015 - published a collection of vocal works "At My Mother's", edited by Honoured Artist of Ukraine, Professor of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko I. P. Zabolotnyi.
In 2017, he published a collection of instrumental pieces.

Gorevych, "Willow" [Archived 17 March 2016 at the Wayback Machine] - based on the poems by N. Karpeko, "Native Belgorod region" - based on the poems by V. Molchanov, and others.
