Freidlin Yan (Yakov Mikhailovich) is a Ukrainian composer.
He was born on 12 August 1944 in Chita. He graduated from the Odesa Conservatory (1971, class of A. Kogan). He was the director of the pop orchestra of the Odesa Regional Philharmonic (1971-1972), headed the theoretical department of the P. Stolyarsky Special Music School for Ten Years.
He is the author of music for many theatre productions, feature films and TV movies: "A Gift of Fate" (1977), "I'm Fine" (1978), "Deputy Hour" (1980), "I Am Khortytsia" (1981), etc.
Member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine.
