Vitalii Arkadiiovych Filipenko (2 February 1939, Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR - 31 January 2022, Kyiv) was a Ukrainian composer. People's Artist of Ukraine (1996).
Biography.
Vitalii was born on 2 February 1939 in Kyiv in the family of composer Arkadii Filipenko.
He graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory (1965, class of A. Shtoharenko).
He is the author of many musical compositions for symphony orchestra, piano, choir, and film scores: "If You Love..." (1959), "Silver Coach" (1963), "No Unknown Soldiers" (1965), "The Child" (1967), "The Way to the Heart" (1970), "Responsible for Everything" (1978), "The Fourth Year of the War Was Going On..." (1983), "Theatre Season" (1989), "Carpathian Gold" (1991), etc.
Died after a serious illness on 31 January 2022
