Dvorskyi Pavlo Ananiyovych

1953

Ukrainian pop singer (tenor) and composer. People's Artist of Ukraine. Winner of awards and festivals. Honorary citizen of the city of Chernivtsi.

Biography.

He was born on February 1, 1953 in the village of Lenkivtsi, Kelmenets district, Chernivtsi region, into a peasant family. His father was Ananii Kyrylovych (1915-2005), and his mother was Viktoriia Viacheslavivna (1923-2007).

From 1960 to 1970, he studied at Lenkovets High School, graduating with a gold medal. At the same time, in 1962, he studied at the Kelmenets Music School. From 1971 to 1973, he served in the army in Hungary. Since 1971, he studied at the Chernivtsi Music School at three departments simultaneously: choral and conducting, folk instruments (accordion), and vocal.

In 1976, Dvorsky was invited to join the Smerichka Vocal and Dance Company. In 1979, Dvorsky's first songs appeared in Smerichka's repertoire, Stozhary and Poppies for Son. In 1985, he wrote the well-known hits "Smerekova Hata" and "Pysanka". In 1989, he took third place in the pop music genre at the Chervona Ruta festival in Chernivtsi. In early 1990, he took part in the song festival "Song Vernissage-90".

In 1994, Pavlo Dvorsky was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Ukraine. He performed as a concert singer and toured abroad (Italy, Spain, Portugal, USA, Canada, Russian Federation, etc.).

In 2003, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the Order of Merit, II degree, for his significant personal contribution to the enrichment of the Ukrainian song heritage.

He is married. He has two sons.

He has over 120 works in his concert repertoire as a singer and composer. Professionally plays accordion, accordion, harmonica, drymba, trumpet, and bayan.

Pavlo Dvorsky became a master of sports of Ukraine in table tennis in 2003. He has participated in tournaments in Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, and Estonia.
