Biography
Ternopil writers Bohdana Durda and Marta Chopyk (22.08.2010)

Bohdana Durda was born in Buchach, Ternopil region, Ukraine.

In 1965, she graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute (now Lviv Polytechnic National University), and in 1991 from the Moscow Correspondence University of Arts (teachers: I. Alentyeva, N. Devyatayeva).

She worked as an engineer, design engineer at a chemical plant in Donetsk, Ternopil Combine Plant (1965-1996).

Since 2003, she has been teaching at Ternopil School No. 24 and the Malvy Cultural and Art Center.
Creative work.

Since 1996, she has been working as an artist. She created portraits, landscapes, still lifes.

She has been participating in art exhibitions since 1979. She had personal exhibitions in Ternopil (1997, 2003, 2007), Buchach (2006).

She has created illustrations for the book for children "What Do the Eyes See" by Marta Chopyk, as well as her own books: "On the Edge: Poems, Songs" (2001), "The River of Life: Poems, Poetry" (2003), "Labyrinths of Fate" (2006; all in Ternopil).

Participant of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Author's Song "Oberih-93" (Lutsk). She has written music for more than 100 songs.

Paintings: "Flowers" (1991), "Old Park" (1994), "Wildflowers" (1995), "K. Bilokur" (1996), "Above the Dam" (1998), "After the Concert (S. Krushelnytska)" (2000), "M. Bashkirtseva" (2002), "Autumn" (2003).
