Ukrainian communications engineer, author and songwriter. Honorary road worker of Ukraine (2003), knight of the Order of Merit III degree (2018). Brother of Bohdan Yaroslavovich Dunets.

Biography

In 1955-1966, he studied at secondary school No. 2 in Ternopil. He graduated from the Ternopil Music School No. 1 in the accordion class, the engineering and construction faculty of the Lviv Polytechnic Institute (1971), now the Lviv Polytechnic University, majoring in "Communication Engineer".

Worked as a foreman of the bridge section, engineer and head of the production and technical department of the Ternopil road repair and construction department No. 38, chief engineer of the Directorate of highways under construction in the Ternopil region; since 2001 — head of the department of quality, technical control and new technologies of the Highway Service in the Ternopil region.

Retired since May 2013.
Art

In 1962, he graduated with honors from the Ternopil Music School No. 1.

He learned to play the guitar on his own. He has been engaged in songwriting since his student years, but on a professional level - since 1993.

In 1993, he participated in 50 concerts in Canada with the Vizerunok musical group. Subsequently, he performed in Germany and the USA[1].

Author of the collection of poems and songs "Mama's mallows" (1998).

The songs "Foreigner" (1998), "Young Jasmine Bush" (2003), "Romance for Stepan Bandera" and "I'm coming back" in my own performance (2008) won prizes in the "Song of the Year" radio festival (Radio station "Promin").
