He was born in 1986.
He studied at the Krushelnytska State Music School and the Lysenko State Music Academy in the class of Prof Lidia Krykh.
At the same time, he studied at the Music Academy of Basel (Switzerland) with Prof. Adrian Otiker.
Andrii Dragan attended masterclasses of prominent contemporary musicians such as Zoltan Kocic, Alfred Brendel, Elisabeth Leonska, Piotr Anderszewski, and others. For eight years, he has been regularly attending masterclasses by Adrian Otiker in Lenk, Switzerland.
In 2009, he graduated with honours from the Lysenko National Music Academy in Lviv and the Basel Music Academy. He was awarded a silver medal of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine.
He has won awards at many international competitions. Among his greatest achievements is the victory at the Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes (Switzerland).
Winner of the Orpheus Chamber Ensemble Competition (Geneva, Switzerland) in a duet with Lech-Antonio Ushynsky.
Participant of many international music festivals, including the Les Museiques Festival under the direction of G. Kremer (Basel, Switzerland), MENHIR (Falera, Switzerland), Virtuosos (Lviv), and the Ancient Music Festival (Lviv).
He performs solo concerts and accompanied by symphony orchestras, in particular, the Lviv Academic Orchestra (conducted by Honoured Artist of Ukraine Y. Kolesa), Lviv Virtuosi (conducted by Hon. S. Burko), INSO-Lviv (conducted by H. Matthes), Il Mosaico (conducted by Herman Ostendarp), the Basel Academy Symphony Orchestra (Thomas Fury), the Basel Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and others.
Andriy Dragan performs in Europe, the USA and Japan as a soloist and chamber musician in collaboration with prominent musicians, including François Benda, Lech-Antonio Ushynsky, Nazarii Pilatiuk, Gemeaux-Quartett, etc.
