Dovbnya Petro Ivanovych

1938

Dovbnya Petro Ivanovych (*18 February 1938, Kamiani Potoky village, Kremenchuk district, Poltava region) is a Ukrainian singer, soloist of the State Honoured Bandura Choir. People's Artist of Ukraine in 1993.
Biography.
In 1963, he graduated from the Tchaikovsky Kyiv State Conservatory in the class of People's Artist of the USSR, Professor Z. M. Gaidai.

He worked as a soloist:

Ukrainian touring concert association,
Ensemble of the Soviet Troops in Germany,
Ukrainian Radio and Television,
State Honoured Chapel of Bandura Players of the Ukrainian SSR,
Honoured Chapel "Dumka".
Associate Professor of the Vocal Department of the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University, owner of a powerful lyrical and dramatic tenor, vocal teacher at the chapel studio.

Since 1999, he has been working at the Department of Voice Training Theory and Methods.

2009 - Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Voice Training at the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University.

As a teacher, he has trained students who have become laureates of competitions and work as soloists in creative groups: S. Kudriavtsev, V. Sachok, and R. Strakhov.

His daughter, Hanna Borovyk, is an opera and operetta actress, lyric and dramatic soprano.
