Dosenko Yevhen Ivanovych

Yevhen Ivanovych Dosenko (born June 1, 1945, Lviv, Ukrainian SSR) is a Ukrainian composer, conductor, chief conductor and composer of the Kalyna folklore and ethnographic ensemble and long-time artistic director of the Svitanok children's studio, Honored Artist of Ukraine, senior lecturer at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy. Grandson of bandura player Oleksandr Dosenko-Zhurba, father of pathophysiologist Viktor Dosenko.
He was born in Lviv. In 1951-1962 he studied at the Children's Music School at the Krushelnytska Conservatory. Graduated from the Lviv Conservatory. A student of the composer Mykola Kolessa.

Chairman of the jury of the XXI Open International Festival-Competition of Vocalists "Golden Note" (April 7-9, 2011, Dnipro).
