Biography.
He was born in 1860 in the village of Tudovi (now Kosiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine). He lived in the village of Verkhnii Yaseniv (now Verkhovyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region).
His repertoire included Ukrainian folk tunes, including dances, funeral songs, accompaniments to songs, etc. He performed before the Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph I. His students were I. Martyshchuk and D. Yatskovskyi.
He died on January 4, 1942 in Verkhniy Yaseniv.
