Danilevsky Adrian Trofimovich

Adrian Trokhymovych Danilevsky (year and time of birth unknown, approximately 1770, Kharkiv region - † 1 April (20 March) 1844, St. Petersburg) was a Ukrainian composer, pianist, and teacher. He was the brother of the violinist Hryhorii Danylevskyi.
From the beginning of the 19th century, he taught piano in St. Petersburg, where he lived from 1810; among his students was Dargomyzhsky in 1821-1828.

In the 1830s, he served as a titular advisor and continued to give piano lessons.

He is the author of

piano pieces, including "Polonaise" in memory of M. Lermontov,
romances - "Chanson favorite" based on the words of Zhukovsky,
church music - the chorus "Now letting go" - performed in 1833.
