Chuvpylo Oleksandr

1988

Chuvpylo Oleksandr (24 January 1988, Kerch, Crimea, Ukrainian SSR) is a Ukrainian singer, lyrical and dramatic tenor.

Biography.
Oleksandr Chuvpylo studied at the Borys Liatoshynskyi Kharkiv Music College, majoring in music theory, graduating in 2004. Then he continued his studies at the vocal faculty of the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine as a lyric baritone in the class of Professor Valeriy Buymister, graduating with honours in 2011.

Since 2008, he has been a soloist at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre.

In 2005-2011, Oleksandr Chuvpylo repeatedly participated in national and international vocal competitions.

In 2011, during the International Operalia Vocal Competition, its founder Placido Domingo advised Oleksandr to switch to tenor repertoire. In the same year, Oleksandr Chuvpylo became a trainee soloist at the National Opera of Ukraine.

Since 2012, Oleksandr Chuvpylo has been a soloist with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.

International Vocal Competition of the XXIV Sobinov Festival, 3rd prize, Russia, Saratov (2011)
International Bül Bül Vocal Competition, 1st prize, Azerbaijan, Baku (2010);
1st International Competition of Vocalists in Memory of A. Nezhdanova, special diploma for the best performance of a work by a contemporary author, Ukraine, Odesa (2010);
Competition for the best performance of Tchaikovsky's works. Vocal Faculty of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, Ukraine, Kyiv, first prize (2010);
Open International Festival of Young Vocalists in Memory of Ivan Alchevsky, Ukraine, Alchevsk, second prize (2007);
Borys Hmyrya International Vocal Competition, Ukraine, Dnipro, 1st prize (2006);
All-Ukrainian Youth Vocal Competition "Ukrainian Bel canto", Ukraine, Donetsk (2005).
