Oleksii Chukhrai (1939, Nyzhnia Lanna) - Honoured Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine.
He was born in Nyzhnia Lanna, Karlivka district.
In his native village, he first picked up the accordion.
Creative work
During his life, Oleksiy Chukhrai wrote dozens of songs that are now performed by people's and honoured artists of Ukraine, amateur groups, adults and children.
Among his co-authors are: Dmytro Lutsenko, Borys Oliynyk, Mykhailo Shevchenko, and Volodymyr Tarasenko. Oleksiy Chukhrai wrote several songs together with the Honoured Journalist of Ukraine Mykola
