Chugai Pavlo

1880-??

Pavlo Chuhai (1880 - ?) was a Ukrainian character actor, singer (baritone, bass), and director. He is known for his performances at the Mykola Sadovskyi Theatre (1915-1920) and the Yurii Kononev Theatre (1937-1939).
Biography.
He worked in various troupes, from 1915 in the Sadovsky Theatre, with which he moved to Galicia in 1920, then to Transcarpathia, where he worked in the Prosvita Theatre in Uzhhorod (1920-1925).

In 1924, supporters of the theatre of Subcarpathian Rus celebrated the 25th anniversary of Pavlo Chuhay's artistic activity.

In 1926, he returned from Czechoslovakia to Galicia and worked in various theatres, including P. Karabinevych's New Ukrainian Theatre, I. Kohutiak's theatres, and others.

In 1937-1939, he worked at the Yuriy Kononev Theatre both as an actor and a director.
