Vasyl Adamovych Chepelyuk (born 14 April 1954) - Ukrainian vocalist, composer, People's Artist of Ukraine (1993)

Biography.
Born in the village of Kholonevychi in Volyn. He graduated from the Lutsk Cultural and Educational College and the Kyiv Institute of Culture. In 1977-1979, Vasyl Chepeliuk sang in the song and dance ensemble of the Carpathian Military District in Lviv. Since 1979, he worked as a soloist of the Volyn Folk Choir, soloist of Volynianka, and later was invited as a soloist-vocalist of the Volyn Regional Philharmonic. He toured France, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, Sweden, and Denmark.

In 1989, Vasyl Chepelyuk was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine for his significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture and art, and his highly professional skills.

In 1993, he was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Ukraine (10.07.1993).

Vasyl Chepeliuk takes an active part in regional, national and international art events, is an active member of the organising committees of the international festivals Polissia Summer with Folklore, Berehynia, Golden Horseshoe, Show 2000, On the Waves of Svityaz, etc.
