Viktor Antonovich Chechott (6 (18) June 1846, Mogilev, Mogilev Province, Russian Empire - 19 November (2 December) 1917, Petrograd, Russian SFSR) was a music critic, pianist and composer born in Mogilev.
He received his musical education in St. Petersburg. From 1883 to 1907 he was a music teacher in Kyiv and a contributor to various publications, in which he wrote about Ukrainian music.
In Kyiv, he composed his second symphony, the musical painting "Steppe," a string quartet, and others.
Brother of the psychiatrist Otto Cecott.
